Title
GIP 33: Revoke the Budget Approved in GIP 32
Category
Community Support & Decision — Others
Abstract
This proposal seeks the revocation of the budget approved under GIP 32. By canceling the budget and returning all unspent funds to the DAO treasury, the GhostsProject DAO will ensure better accountability and mitigate the ongoing concerns regarding the effectiveness and sustainability of the Fragments expansion efforts.
Rationale
Ineffective Expansion Efforts:
Previous initiatives, such as GIP 30 and GIP 31, aimed to expand the Ghosts Fragments but have shown limited to no measurable results. This has led to growing doubts about their sustainability and benefit to the broader GhostsProject narrative.
Need for Accountability:
Revoking the GIP 32 budget will enable a comprehensive audit and ensure that the DAO’s funds are allocated responsibly.
Reallocating Resources:
By halting all funding under GIP 32, GhostsProject DAO can re-evaluate and reallocate resources toward more viable initiatives that align with the community’s needs and interests.
Implementation Plan
Freeze Existing Payments:
All approved but unspent funds under GIP 32 are immediately frozen. No new disbursements or payments will be processed.
Return Funds to Treasury:
Once frozen, any unspent balance is to be transferred back to the DAO treasury within 48 hours.
Audit & Reporting:
An internal or external review team will be assigned to conduct a thorough audit of GIP 29, GIP 30, GIP 31, GIP 32 expenditures.
A final report outlining spending details and any irregularities will be presented to the DAO for feedback and recommendations.
Future Reallocation:
Following the audit, any decisions on reassigning the revoked budget will be subject to a new DAO proposal and community vote.
